The Graham family, consisting of Robert, Samuel, Anne and Margaret, came to America in 1774 from County Down, Ireland. They settled in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. Robert Graham moved with his wife Mary Craig and children in 1782 to Montgomery (now Wythe) County, Virginia. His wife Mary died in 1786 and he remarried in 1790 Mary Cowan. He died in 1811.
Joseph and Samuel Crockett were probably brothers born ca. 1705 and ca. 1708 respectively in perhaps Northern Ireland. Joseph Crockett moved in 1715 to Pennsylvania where he married ca. 1730 Jane Devinney. He and his family moved ca. 1738 to Maryland and then ca. 1748 to Augusta (now Montgomery) County, Virginia. His will was probated in 1767. Samuel Crockett came to Pennsylvania in 1715 where he married Esther Thomson. They moved to Maryland ca. 1738 and then in 1748 moved to Augusta (now Wythe) County, Virginia. His will was probated in 1750.
Related families were Thomson, Calfee, Harbert, Kent, McGavock, Sayers, Yearwood, Harrison, and many others. Descendants lived in Virginia, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Texas, Missouri, and elsewhere.
