Zachariah McAlister (b. ca. 1780-1844) was possibly born in Culpepper County, Virginia. He lived in Kentucky where he married Mary Magill in 1810. In 1811 they settled in Washington County, Indiana. Descendants and relatives lived in Indiana, Iowa, Oklahoma, Oregon, Washington, California and elsewhere. Includes probable ancestors in Virginia.

Includes Howard, Mahuron, Muir, Rodman and related families and variant spelling McAllister.
