John Green (d.1750) immigrated from England to land in what is now Charlestown County, South Carolina, later moving to Georgetown County, South Carolina. John Thompson Green (1753-1828) was his grandson. Descendants lived in South Carolina, North Carolina, Mississippi, Louisiana and elsewhere.
