The church was organized in 1879 as Mount Tabor Church but the Mount was soon dropped. Church was organized from the Lebanon Church.

Presbytery gives location of church as Crozet but later says it is 13 miles west of Charlottesville.

Record states the session minutes and register, 1935-1939, were "not found".
