Gives descendants of William Denson who came to Virginia in 1637 and died in 1676. His wife Frances died in 1709. Allied families were Joyner, Pretlow, Williams, Darden, Johnson, Council, Brydell, Scott, and others. Descendants lived in Virginia.

Includes history of the Beechwood estate near Courtland in Southampton County, Virginia.
