Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Braswell (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from England and Scotland. Early Braswell families settled in Virginia in the 1600s. Some focus is on (but not limited to) descendants of Rev. Robert (1613-1668) and Rebecca Brasewell, who left London, England and settled in Isle of Wight, Virginia ca. 1649. Their children were Jane, Rebecca, Robert, Richard, and Ann. In the 1700s, some Braswells settled in Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. During the 1800s, some moved to Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Utah. Later descendants also lived in Arizona, California, Florida, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, and elsewhere. Some information about African American slaves is included. Subscription and other information is found on their Web sites.
