Notes

"This ... is intended to be an addition and extension to the 'Family record and history of the Morton family, Webster County, WV' by Edward E. Morton (1875-1969). Most family members and West Virginia genealogical libraries have copies of this booklet, which is completely indexed with the present volume." (p. 49).

Edward Morton (b.1764) was probably born in Pennsylvania, but enlisted in the Revolutionary War from Augusta County, Virginia. Edward also settled in Pendleton (later Highland) County, Virginia and married Sarah Allison. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Washington, California and elsewhere.

Includes index (to the Edward E. Morton booklet, to this volume, and to the first supplement).

Includes Blankenship, Chapman, Curry, Goff, Hanna, Kyer, McElwain, Weese, Woods and related families.
