Dr. Arthur Hopkins (ca.1690-ca.1767)immigrated about 1723 from England to Hanover County, Virginia, and shortly married Elizabeth Pettus of James City County, Virginia. They later moved to Goochland County and then to Albemarle County, Virginia. He served as a doctor and officer during the French and Indian War. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and elsewhere. Includes many other Hopkins immigrants (or probable immigrants) to Virginia, and their descendants and relatives living in Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina and elsewhere.
