The Blair family traveled from Maryland to Blount County, Tennessee in the early 1800s and settled in the small village of Miller's Cove. There appears to have been several brothers and sisters who settled in the area. John Blair (ca.1770-1850) was one of the Blair siblings who moved to Tennessee. He was born in Maryland and married Elizabeth Snyder (ca.1775-1870) in about 1800. They were the parents of eight children. Descendants live in Tennessee and other parts of the United States.
