Microfilm made of typescript collection (121 leaves in various foliations; bound in 2 volumes) prepared in 1964-1965 by Kenan B. Lawrence, Bristol, Virginia.

Robert Lawrence was a son of Sir John Lawrence and Grissell Gibbons. Robert immigrated from England to Isle of Wight County, Virginia about 1639, and also came to own lands in Nansemond County, Virginia. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, North Carolina and elsewhere. Includes other immigrant Lawrence individuals and families to the early colonies, and many of their descendants.

Contents: v. 1. With historical sketches and genealogical outlines of the Lawrence family in Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Ky., New York and South Carolina : also including genealogical records of other families converging with the Lawrence family of Virginia-North Carolina, Vaughan with Lawrence 1805, Rea with Lawrence 1836, Jordan with Darden 1825, Darden with Pruden 1844, Pruden with Lawrence 1870, Moorman with Lawrence 1901 -- v. 2. The related families of Jameson family of Virginia, and Norfleet family of Virginia and North Carolina.

Includes Flournoy and related families.
