Notes

These are the original birth and death records gathered by the Commissioners of Revenue for the districts of West Virginia, and which were used by the clerk to compile his records.

The years 1855, 1857, 1860-1861, 1882, 1898, 1902 and 1904-1905 are missing one district. The years 1863, 1865-1879, 1890, 1899-1901 and 1903 are missing.

1904-1906 contain marriages as well as births and deaths.

The clerk's reports are found on rolls 847168-847197 & 847257-847269.

1904-1906 have name indexes.
