Microfilm made of [1986?] revision of [1985?] revision of 1977 edition, published: Mexico, Mo., Mrs. Vida Vance, 1986, (ca. 350 leaves) loaned for filming by the author.

In 1731/1732, the Vance, Hogue, Colville and Glass families settled in Chester Co., Penn. They later migrated to Frederick Co., Va. They originated in Scotland and Ireland. Andrew Vance, III (1735-1805) was born in Va. and died in Ky. In 1768, he married Anne Ramey (1752-1815). They had ten children. Descendants and relatives lived in Ohio, Ill., and Ind. before settling in Missouri.
