Microfiche of ms. and typescript collection.
"The records which are contained on this microfiche consist primarily of papers which were handritten by a Mr. Alvin Twyman Beall. Mr. Beall married Nancy Ann Wade, the daughter of Jesse Wade and Lucy Wills ... I have been told that Mr. Beall began this record in about 1908 ... They are currently in the possession of Lynn (Mrs. Paul) Reis of Lake Jackson, Texas... Once restoration was done, I began sorting the papers into their present order. Since there were a few papers which did not seem to fit into the collection, I have place them at the end under the heading 'unconnected data' ..." [signed] (Betty) Elizabeth Ann (Wade) Crenshaw.
Includes some material by Mrs. Reis' grandmother, Mary Lee Hoskins, and letters, newspaper articles, and a genealogical sketch on the Wade family by Major O. T. (Tom) Wills, Anderson, Indiana.
Frederick William Wills, his brother, William Wills, and their families, migrated from Albermarle County, Virginia, and settled first near Athens, Fayette County, Kentucky, probably soon after the Revolutionary War. Frederick W. Wills married Frances Durrett, daughter of Richard and Sarah? Hampton Durrett of Albermarle County, Virginia. They had eleven, 1765-1785?. He died in Clark County, Kentucky, in 1795 or 1796. Descendants listed lived in Kentucky and elsewhere.
Includes the Hood, Wade, Johnson, and other related families.
