William Baldwin (1716-1785) was born near Philadelphia. He lived in Frederick (now Berkely) County, Virginia (now West Virginia). He married twice and was the father of at least fourteen children. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Kentucky, Ohio, Georgia, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri and elsewhere. Includes other Baldwin families of Virginia.

Includes Grigsby, Guthery, Hawk, Newton, Sherrard and related families.
