The first four volumes abstracted a collection (no. 108) of surveys 1722-1781 which was arranged by county and then by the grantee's name. The last volume in this series abstracted records which were divided into seven different categories and then arranged alphabetically by surname. Land for twenty counties was included in this volume.

Contents: v. 1. Orange & Augusta counties, with tithables, delinquents, petitioners, 1730-1754 -- v. 2. Frederick County, 1747-1780 -- v. 3. Dunmore, Shenandoah, Culpeper, Prince William, Fauquier, and Stafford Counties, 1710-1780 -- v. 4. Hampshire, Berkeley, Loudoun, Fairfax, King George, Westmoreland, Richmond, Northumberland, and Lancaster Counties, 1697-1784 -- v. 5. 1653-1781 (twenty counties).
