Edward Hunter served as bishop of the Nauvoo 5th Ward, Winter Quarters and of the Salt Lake 13th Ward.

Record contains an account of donations to the poor, 1845-1848, for the Nauvoo 5th Ward and Winter Quarters; a bishop's report and tithing report for Winter Quarters, 1846-1847; a tithing list for the Salt Lake City 13th Ward, 1850; baptisms, 1851-1856 and blessings of children, 1844-1859; and miscellaneous notations. Records of donations and other miscellaneous notations for the 11th Ward at Winter Quarters.
