The listings were done in the 1940s and 1950s. Many of the headstones that were read no longer exist or are no longer readable.

Listings for each cemetery are in alphabetical order.

Vol. 1 includes the following townships: Bois D' Arc, Pitman, Harvel & Zanesville.

Contents: Rovey, St. Martin, Macoupin Creek, Providence, Street, Allen, Crawford, Martin, Williams-Watson, and Zanesville cemeteries.

Includes lists of veterans buried prior to 1955.
