David Widener, born ca. 1820 in Washington County, Virginia, son of John T. Widener and Obedience Owen married Nancy Mock. They later moved to Knox County, Kentucky and later to Claiborne County, Tennessee. Descendants lived in Tennessee, Texas, Kentucky, and elsewhere.
