The first book was recorded partly with the county clerk and partly with the probate judge. All other volumes were recorded with the probate court.
Each volume is indexed. First book includes a typed index (15 leaves) titled: Alphabetical listing of marriages from the first book of recordings for Anderson County, Kansas for years 1854-1868 / compiled by Mrs. Juanita (L.G.) Kellerman. Garnett, Kansas : 1965.
