Probate records for Bamble judicial district in Telemark county. For this time period it includes these places: Drangedal, Bamble, Eidanger, Gjerpen, Sannidal, Skafså, Langesund, Brevik, and Porsgrunn until 1807. The probate records usually contain the date of probate, name of the deceased, names of heirs, guardians and trustees, inventory lists, land and holdings, and other miscellaneous information. There is also a separate card index on film # 1149125 and 1149126 which were filmed in 1982 on 16 mm. film, 42 X.
