George G. Haynes was born (likely in Winchester Virginia) 1 December 1757. He was the son of Christopher Haynes who immigrated from England ca. 1741. George married Margaret McInturff of Winchester, Virginia ca. 1782. They lived in Carter Co., Tennessee and reared a family of twelve children. George died in the year 1836. Descendants lived primarily in Tennessee, Missouri, Kentucky, Oklahoma and elsewhere.
