John Grymes, son of Rev. Charles Grymes, was born in Gloucester County, Virginia. He married Alice Townley, daughter of Lawrence and Sarah Warner Townely. In his will recorded 2 January 1709, he named two sons, Charles and John. Includes the descendants of John Grimes of Middlesex County, Virginia; Grimes families living in Fairfax and Loudoun counties, Virginia; and miscellaneous items on the name Grimes in Virginia.
