John Martin, Sr. (1766-1827), son of David Martin, married Margaret Faris about 1802, lived in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, and later moved to Parke County, Indiana. Descendants lived in South Carolina, Indiana, Nebraska, Wyoming, Washington, Oregon, Alabama, Texas and elsewhere.
Includes Akers, Berry, Harney, Mitchell, Snow, Spencer, Thompson and related families.
