William and John Stembridge, brothers, emigrated from England to Lunenburg County, Virginia about 1760/1764. Descendants lived in Virginia, Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas and elsewhere. Some descendants became members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and lived in Utah, California and elsewhere.
