Records were kept by Joseph Anthony, a Baptist minister, who died in 1806 in Virginia. The records were taken by his widow to Madison County, Missouri, and kept by the family there.

Contains church minutes 1786-1800, family records 1771-1858 (births, marriages and deaths for the Anthony, Brittin and Strother families and their slaves), and accounts 1810-1815.
