William Briscoe (ca. 1750-1830) was probably born in Virginia, the son of Philip and Nancy Foster Briscoe, and a descendant of John Briscoe (1612-1799), immigrant to Maryland in 1634. He and his wife, Elizabeth Wallace, had at least six children, 1776-approximately 1788, at least the first five born in Albermarle County, Virginia. The family was living in Madison County, Kentucky, by 1790. Descendants listed lived in Kentucky, Missouri, Mississippi, and elsewhere.

Includes the Logan and other related families.

Also available on microfilm.
