Francis Cooke (d. 1663) married Hester Mahieu in Leyden, and came to America on the Mayflower in 1620. Twelve generations of Cookes are traced through Francis's son Jacob. These descendants of Francis Cooke lived in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kansas, and elsewhere.
