Records arranged by year, then alphabetically by surname. Some years are vacant.
Although the title of this collection indicates Orleans Parish as the locality, during the years from 1804-1812 the probate court would have had jurisdiction over all of Orleans Territory, which encompassed a geographic area greater than Orleans Parish. New parishes were created within the territory as early as 1805, but it is likely the Orleans Parish Court of Probates would have continued jurisdiction until the new parishes had established their own courts.
