Microfilm made of typescript collection (ca.200 leaves) compiled between about 1960 and 1975 by the Lyon(s) Families Association of America (donor), Lake Villa, Illinois.

Archives for the collection and interchange of genealogical data and family history about Lyon--Lyons individuals and families within the state of Virginia. This data is chiefly arranged by county, and usually the sources of the data are listed. The counties are: Augusta, Albemarle, Amherst, Carroll, Grayson, New Kent, Patrick, Scott, Washington, and "other counties" at the end. Some of the data included shows Lyon--Lyons individuals and families in other states as well, usually moving there from Virginia.

Includes Halsey, Hill, Macy, Malone, Shepherd, Wingate and related families.
