George Timmons was born 1760 in Frederick Co., Virginia. Prior to 1780, he moved to Hampshire Co., Virginia and was there drafted into military service. Later, he settled in Hopkins Co., Kentucky. George was married at least three times and was the father of thirteen known children. He died 6 April 1845 in Kentucky. Descendants live primarily in Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, Tennessee, Florida and elsewhere.
