These indexes do not contain volume or page numbers for the various probate court records. They can be used only with the case files. They do indicate if a probate record was left for a person so that individual volumes may be checked. For other probate records check the county in the locality catalog under: Kansas, Brown - Probate records.

General index to estates gives the case number, date of case, names of parties involved with case (decedent, administrators, executor, etc.), and second date (closing date?). It covers 1857-1950 and is included in the general index to probate records.

General index to probate records contains estates and guardianship records for 1857-1985. It gives the case number, date of case, name of deceased or minor, type of case (will, minors, deceased, etc.), and legal representative.
