"I contributed to your Society a copy of 'Eagles of the Virginias and their pioneering descendants in Dakota Territory.' The enclosed narrative entitled the 'Greenbrier branch' is a supplement to the above"--Letter from author (inserted between leaf vi and leaf 1 of supplement).

"Timothy Eagle [d.1795/1796] was 'discovered' in 1973 while research was being done at the Mormon Church Library in Omaha. However six years were to elapse before a document was found proving he was our ancestor. This document, a deed executed 1829 in Shenandoah County, Virginia, indicated Timothy as being the father of William Eagle, the latter being our earliest known ancestor at that time"--(Leaf i). Additional research and discoveries were made, and new descendants were discovered who contributed much to make this supplement a biographical and historical work. With their help, the Greenbrier branch of the Eagle family is traced herein through 1986, living chiefly in West Virginia, with some descendants in Maryland, New Mexico and elsewhere.

Includes Bing, Blankenship, Oney, Price, Shortridge and related families.
