Notes

George Dixon (Dickson) (1754-1840) was born in Augusta County, Virginia. His parents are believed to have emigrated from Ireland and been among the first settlers of this section of Virginia. He married Veronica (Verona) VanBebber (VanBibber) 1782 in Lewisburg, Greenbrier County, West Virginia. She was born ca. 1761 in Virginia to Peter VanBebber, Jr. and Margery Bounds.
