Microfilm of computer produced typescript (photocopy, 117 leaves in various foliations) loaned for filming by Marie Quisenberry, Carlsbad, California.
Joseph Edwards, who is believed to be the immigrant ancestor of this Edwards line, settled in Concord Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, ca. 1694. A descendant, David Edwards, was born in West Virginia or South Carolina, the son of Samuel Edwards. He married Mary Patty ca. 1787 in Newberry County, South Carolina. They had eight children, 1788-1806, in Newberry and Greenville Counties, South Carolina, and Darke County, Ohio. He died in Darke County, Indiana, in 1909. After his death, his family migrated to St. Joseph County, Indiana. Descendants listed lived in Indiana, Illinois, and elsewhere.
