James Knott (ca.1602/1603-1653) emigrated in 1617 from England to Jamestown, Virginia, and later lived in Accomac and then Nansemond Counties, Virginia. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Maryland, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, Texas and elsewhere. Includes lineage on some lines in England, France and elsewhere.
