Richard Taylor of Old Rappahannock County, Virginia, is believed to have emigrated from England with three brothers, ca. 1650. He and his wife, Sarah, had two sons and a daughter, the oldest born ca. 1667. He was livig in Essex County, Virginia, in 1678, when he wrote his will. Descendants listed lived in Virginia, West Virginia, Louisiana and elsewhere.
