Notes

Fielding Garr was born 19 August 1794. He was the second son of Abraham Garr and Dinah Weaver of Madison Co., Virginia. He served in the War of 1812 and married Paulina Turner 18 November 1919. Fielding was the only member of the Garr family living in and near Richmond, Indiana to join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in its early days of 1842. Soon he followed the Saints to the Salt Lake Valley. He arrived in the Salt Lake Valley in 1847 and settled his family on Antelope Island. Descendants lived primarily in Utah.
