Notes

Microfilm made of manuscript collection inserted into blanks of an already printed genealogical form book (56 p. completed within a 114 p. volume); compiled by Sara W. Heaton; donated to the Genealogical Society of Utah in 1972 by descendants Mary Balderston Heston, Virginia Crenshaw Allison, and Margaret Heston Savage.

Includes newspaper clippings, letters, photographs, etc. (chiefly attached to leaves at end).

John Balderston Heston (1858-1909) was a direct descendant in the fifth generation from Zebulon Heston (1702-1776). Zebulon immigrated from England to Barnstable, Massachusetts, and soon moved to New Jersey, and later to Bucks County, Pennsylvania. John Bacon Crenshaw (1820- 1889) was a direct descendant in the seventh generation from Joseph Crenshaw, who immigrated from England to Gloucester County, Virginia and received a land grant in 1642. John Bacon Crenshaw was the father of Sara (Willits) Crenshaw; she married John Balderston Heston in 1894 in Richmond, Virginia. Both were Quakers, and probably most of their ancestry (as shown in this manuscript genealogy) was Quaker as well.

Includes Bacon, Balderston, Bassett, Crew, Parsons, Ricks, Willits, Worthington and related families.
