Microfilm of original records at the Loudoun County Courthouse in Leesburg, Virginia.

Originally the parish vestry dealt with the levying of taxes. Around 1785 the counties took over this function and placed it under civil authorities, such as commissioners of the revenue.

Most lists are in alphabetical order by the first letter of the surname.

Contains lists of tithables for Cameron Parish until 1770. Then often included the list of tithables for Shelburne Parish. After 1782, some personal property tax lists may be mixed in with the tithable lists.
