Contains deeds, wills, appraisements, inventories, estate sales, guardian accounts, power of attorney, election polls, and bonds.
Princess Anne County was dissolved in 1952 and incorporated as the independent city of Virginia Beach.
The Superior Court of Law existed from 1808-1831 and was replaced by the Circuit Superior Court of Law and Chancery.
The Circuit Superior Court of Law and Chancery was abolished in 1851 and was replaced by the Circuit Court.
The County Court was abolished in 1904 and its functions were assumed by the Circuit Court.
The County Clerk recorded all deeds for the court system.
