Henry Randolph was born at Houghton Parva, Northamptonshire, England, the son of William and Dorothy Lane West Randolph. He immigrated to Virginia, ca. 1642 and settled in Henrico County. He was clerk of Henrico County from ca. 1643-1656 and clerk of the Virginia Assemby from 1656 until his death. He married twice and was the father of five children. He died in 1673. Few locality names given for descendants.
