Robert Stephens (1756-1836) immigrated from Scotland to Virginia in 1774, settled in Chesterfield County, Tennessee, and married (1) Elizabeth Farmer in 1780, and (2) Sarah Farmer in 1788. Descendants and relatives lived in Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, South Carolina, Texas and elsewhere. Includes ancestry in Scotland and England to 1066 A.D.
