Notes

Ancestors of the author, with some of their descendants. Sarah Margaret Logan was born in 1849, the second child of Robert Reynolds and Elizabeth Eleanor Irvin Logan. She married Hanry Marurice Morris (1847-1895) in 1883 at Corydon, Indiana. Her father, Robert Reynolds Logan (1814-1884), was born in Shelby County, Kentucky. He married Elizabeth Eleanor Irving (1829-1847) in 1847 at Corydon, Indiana. They lived in Lincoln County, Missouri, most of their married lives. They had ten children, 1847-1870. Descendants lived in Missouri, Indiana, Virginia, Kentucky, Illinois, Ohio, Kansas, California, Texas, Michigan, Colorado, Arizona, and elsewhere.

Ancestors include: Edward Ervin, Sr. (fl. 1729-1770) of Ireland, Pennsylvania, and Augusta County, Virginia; Samuel Irvin (1760- 1837), a Rvolutionary War soldier, of Augusta County, Virginia, South Carolina, and Kentucky; James Doak (b. ca. 1760) of Augusta and Rockingham Counties, Virginia; James Logan (d. 1825), a Revolutionary War soldier, of Rockbridge County, Virginia; and James McCampbell (fl. 1741-1799) of Ireland and Rockbridge County, Virginia.
