The register of marriages, 1715-1852, is divided into three parts: bonds, 1715-1848, marriages (licenses?), 1782-1849, and entries from marriage register, 1794-1852. The section for bonds gives the date of bond, names of husband and wife, parents' or guardians' names for husband and wife, names of security and witnesses, and minister. The sections for marriages give date of marriage, names of husband and wife, and minister. Includes a minister's bond dated 1810. Information is not always complete.
The register of marriage, 1849-1862, seems to be copies of marriage returns which give names of parties, date of marriage, and minister. The register of marriage, 1852-1901, gives the date and place of marriage, full name of the parties, age, marital status, birthplaces, residences, parents' names, husband's occupation, and name of the person performing the ceremony. The register of marriage, 1901-1936, added date when license was issued and race. Information is not always complete.
