Notes

The County Court existed until 1904 when it was replaced by the Circuit Court.

Until 1847, record books contained deeds, wills, inventories, bills of sale, accounts of sale, powers of attorney, etc. Early volumes also contained marriage contracts, depositions, inquisitions into deaths, bonds, etc.

Includes general index. Record books v. 1-34 and v. A-C are also individually indexed.

Microfilm of original records at the Virginia State Library in Richmond, Virginia and at Northumberland County Courthouse in Heathsville, Virginia.
