Seventh edition is a massive updating and revision of earlier editions. Family members are grouped together and identified by generation number with a number being assigned to each person. A complete name index is planned for the final volume.

Michael Boyer (1690/1700-ca.1761) lived near Richmond, in Fredericksburg in Frederick County, and then in Augusta County, Virginia. He was father to at least twelve children. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Missouri, Tennessee, and elsewhere. Includes some history of the Association of American Boyers, Inc.

Includes varient spellings of Bayer, Beyer, Borer, Borror, Bowyer, Boyer, Boyers, Byars, Byer, Byers, etc.
