Walter Boggan and his family immigrated from Ireland (via Barbados) to Charleston, South Carolina in the early 1700s. "According to family records, Sir Walter Boggan was a member of Irish Royalty and his wife Lydia was a member of the O'Rorie More family who came from Ireland to Barbedoes to Charleston, S. C. ... It is thought these young people were born in Castle Finn, Donegal County, Ireland, and came to this country as young adults.--P. [1]. Descendants lived in South Carolina, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Alabama and elsewhere.
