Johannes Philip Preisch (1718-1802) and his brother-in-law, Johan Philip Harless (1716-1772), with their wives and families, immigrated in 1738 from Germany to Philadelphia. Johannes Philip anglicized his name to John Philip Price, and settled in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; his brother in law first lived in Augusta County, Virginia, moving later to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Texas, Arizona, California and elsewhere. Includes ancestors in Germany to about 1644.

Includes Albert, Heavener, Keister, Linkous, Lucas, Petefish and related families.
