Abraham Abshire (ca. 1755-1842) of Franklin County, Virginia, married twice and was the father of thirteen children, 1777-1815. He died in Franklin County at age 94. His grandson, George Anthony Abshire (1849-1931), was born at Cavesprings, Roanoke County, Virginia. He married Eliza Catherine Dille (1855-1936) in 1874 at Eureka, Kansas. They had ten children, 1875-1899, born at Madison, Kansas. He died at Eagle City, Oklahoma. Descendants listed lived in Oklahoma and elsewhere.
