Contains importations 1739-1740, early settlers and pre-Revolutionary soldiers 1729-1826, ancestors of Daughters of Colonel Thomas Hughart Chapter 1728-1814, location of graves of Revolutionary soldiers and real Daughters ca. 1770-1861, list of Revolutionary soldiers who went from Augusta County 1775-1781 and 1824-1838, and dissenter preachers ca. 1750-1840. Includes supplements of pre-Revolutionary soldiers 1748-1779 and Revolutionary soldiers ca. 1777-1779.
Information was taken from records in Augusta and Rockbridge counties.
